About the Class:
This course assumes absolutely zero prior knowledge. You do not need to know how to read music, and you don’t need to have any musical background whatsoever. We start entirely from scratch.

Our expert tutoring focuses on building a solid baseline of fundamental skills. By focusing on correct habits early on, we ensure you have the tools needed to enjoy the guitar for years to come.

Our 5-Point Core Curriculum:

1. Tuning Basics: Learn to tune so your instrument always sounds great.
2. Timekeeping: Develop a strong internal clock to keep perfect time.
3. Rhythm Essentials: Master basic strumming patterns used in everyday music.
4. Song Accompaniment: Combine chords to accompany singing or other instruments.
5. Aural Development: Train your “musical ear” to understand song structures.

What Equipment Do I Need?
Students are required to bring their own instrument and accessories. You will need:

• An acoustic guitar (nylon or steel strings are both fine).
• A few guitar plectrums (picks).
• A folder or notebook for your course handouts.
