Acrylics for Improvers
|01/02/2022 - Spring term||Tuesday||7 - 9pm||6 weeks||£60|
The course is for learners who have some little experience of acrylic painting or some basic understanding and would like to improve their skills on a structured tutor led course. The focus will be on working from themes to gain a very good grounding in observational painting.
Students will learn what surfaces to use and how to prepare them and manipulate the paint. Planning the arrangement/composition, laying in the local areas of colour masses, develop the modelling ad rendering if the surfaces. Observing, mixing, applying colour and rendering surface through mark making. Mixing consistancies of paint in washes, glazing and opaque layers, extended colour mixing, matching and applying tone and colour in stages will be key to the learning experience. Students will develop more competence of basic modelling with the paint. The tutor will provide an image to work from.
